Mama (or dada): Do you want (whatever he is pointing towards).
Little Man with an emphatic nod: Yeah
Mama or Dada: Can you say "please"?
Little Man: Yup (emphatic nod)
Mama or Dada: Will you say please?
Little Man: Yup (emphatic nod)
Mama or Dada: Some time this century?
Little Man: pause for pondering and then emphatic nod and "yup".
